Process racionalization in LOTUS NOTES surroundings

Tato práce popisuje racionalizaci procesu v prostředí Lotus Notes ve firmě, která zajišťuje kompletní podporu produktu Lotus Notes pro velkou mezinárodní firmu. Popisuje tříúrovňový systém podpory. Dále se zabývá racionalizací procesu mezi první úrovní podpory (zákaznický servis) a druhou úrovní podpory (Lotus notes administrace). V neposlední řadě popisuje vytváření – naprogramování příslušných agentů v Lotus Notes pro tým druhé úrovně, kteří pomohou ke zrychlení a zkvalitnění služeb, poskytovaného tímto týmem.This work describes the rationalization process in Lotus Notes in a company that provides complete support for Lotus Notes Product for a large international company. It describes three level support and also deals with the rationalization process between the first level of support (customer service) and second level support (Lotus Notes administration). Finally, describes how to create – programming the agents in the Lotus Notes team for the second level, which will help to speed up and improve the services provided by this team.

An Approach for Developing Applications in Lotus Notes

Lotus Notes, an innovative groupware, is evolving from its origins of facilitating collaboration among small groups into an integrated and open platform for building and running client-server applications for automating workflow and office activities. Since both the application domain and the development environment are new, the development process for Lotus Notes applications is naturally ad hoc. To facilitate the creation of Notes applications, Lotus Development Corporation has provided a set of templates that can be configured and adapted by the application developers. However, the issues of how to analyze the applications domain so that the requirements can be mapped on one or more of these templates has not been addressed in the literature. The analysis problem becomes more acute because the key attributes of the applications domain and the Notes environment, namely, the collaboration among physically dispersed users who have different access rights to data that resides on distributed databases, are significantly different from MIS/database applications and the traditional analysis methods are not directly applicable. This paper presents and illustrates an orderly approach for developing applications in Lotus Notes that addresses the issues of analyzing the problem domain so that the requirements can be mapped onto a Lotus Notes template

Lotus Notes for Collaborative Coursework: An On-going Experiment

A successful pilot project led to the inclusion of Lotus Notes in multiple sections of a required undergraduate MIS course at Bentley College to enhance the effectiveness of group projects. This paper describes the planning, design, development, management, implementation and use of Lotus Notes for collaborative coursework. The pilot project was assessed through informal feedback. The current experiment is being evaluated through a controlled approach, using before and after questionnaires. Preliminary results indicate that there are significant reservations on the part of the student in partaking in the collaborative approach, and a high level of enthusiasm for a new technology-supported approach

Cryptography and implementation in Notes and Domino

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá popisem kryptografie a infrastruktury veřejného klíče v Lotus Notes/Domino. Cílem je podat stručný přehled kryptografických technik včetně jejich implementace v Lotus Notes/Domino a navržení vhodných příkladů pro demonstraci a výuku kryptografických technik. Pro demonstraci vybraných algoritmů je použit volně šiřitelný výukový program CrypTool.This bachelor's thesis deals with description of cryptography and Public Key Infrastructure in Lotus Notes/Domino. The goal of this thesis is to give a brief overview of cryptographic techniques including their implementation in Lotus Notes/Domino and to propose an appropriate examples for demonstration and education in cryptographic techniques. In order to demonstrate selected algorithms an open-source e-learning software CrypTool is used.

Methodology of transformation groupware applications to Web 2.0

katedra: KIN; rozsah: 67 s.This bachelor's dissertation deals with applications development on Lotus Notes/Domino platform. It is largely based on my experiences gained during long-term practice at OR-CZ Ltd. In first part I will introduce Lotus Notes/Domino products, Domino Designer and new technology called XPages, which allows creation of modern web applications. Next part focus on difference between development of classical Lotus Notes applications and web applications followed by chapter dedicated to web application development using XPages. JavaScript, XML, Formula language, HTML and CSS (cascaded style sheets) are used for their development. Redesign of existing application to read only form and new application development is shown. At the conclusion summary of pros and cons is presented.Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem aplikací na platformě Lotus Notes/Domino. Převážně vycházím ze zkušeností nasbíraných při mé roční řízené praxi ve společnosti OR-CZ spol. s r.o. V první části představím produkty Lotus Notes/Domino, Domino Designer a novou technologii XPages, umožňující tvorbu moderních webových aplikací. Následuje porovnání způsobu vývoje klasických Lotus Notes aplikací oproti webovým se zdůrazněním největších rozdílů. Další část práce už se zaměřuje na tvorbu webových aplikací pomocí XPages. Pro jejich vývoj se využívá JavaScriptu, XML, jazyka funkcí, HTML a kaskádových stylů. Ukázán je praktický převod stávající aplikace do formy pro čtení a vytvoření nové aplikace. Na konci jsou shrnuty základní výhody i nevýhody XPages

APLIKASI TOTUS-NOTES PADA ALAT PENGUMPUL DATA DALAM BENTUK SKALA

Pengumpulan data yang dtperoleh dengan instrumen berupa skala umumnya memakan waktu yang lama, karena dilakukan secara manual. Lamanya waktu yang digunakan termasuk di dalamnya adalah penyusunan item, administrasi/pengumpulan data, skoring, dan analisis item. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah aplikasi dari program Lotus-Notes untuk pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan skala psikologis, yang diawali dari administrasi/pengumpulan data sampai dengan analisis item. Diharapkan dengan aplikasi tersebut, lamanya waktu yang digunakan untuk pengumpalan data menjadi lebih optimal. Jenis skala psikologis yang akan diaplikasikan adalah skala Likert dan Skala Osgood. Skala Likert adalah skala yang dirancang oleh Rensis Likert dengan pendekatan respons, sedangkan skala Osgood dirancang oleh Charles Osgood, Suci, dan Tannenbaum yang mengganakan pasangan kata sifat dalam setiap item-itemnya. The advances of modem computer technology today have prompted offices to automate their office processing. As businesses continue to expand, the need to automate office processes increases. It is vital to incorporate computer technology to remain competitive. The main object of this study is to create a working system capable of routing forms and saving data in the database. It is to collect information such as staff information and new branch addresses. It allows employees to request stationeries online where the processing and routing is done by the office system. It also has a discussion database that helps employees to communicate among themselves. The discussion database allows the placing of comments and notices for others to view.
